At ILM, we strive.

We begin each day with the recitation and deliberation on the meaning of Surah Fatiha. We make dua that Allah may increase us in knowledge and that He may accept our efforts. From the beginning of the day until the end of the school day and beyond, every second of the day we strive.

We strive to amalgamate as much of Islamic knowledge as possible to the current rich, interactive and vibrant k12 curriculum. This curriculum, rooted in decades of educational research, is focused on unlocking the innate and unique potential in each child through individualized learning approaches, along with exceptional and engaging content that makes learning come alive. Our curriculum at ILM stands out by itself as a challenging and motivating combination of several top notch curricula used by top Georgia Schools. Our text books are the most recent available and are compiled by one of the most accomplished publishers in business .ITBS tests conducted last year reveal that our students are in the top 4 percentile in the nation. They meet and exceed GPS standards set by the state of Georgia. Alhamdulillah.

We believe that Islamic studies should be an integral part of every subject, not related to just one Islamic studies class. We offer Arabic language, Islamic studies and Quran recitation/memorization each day. As we integrate the Islamic perspective into every aspect of the other subjects such as Science, Math, Language Arts, History-Geography (Social Studies), For Art and Physical Education- we select a combination of rich, engaging content with interesting interactive demonstrations and activities that encourage students to absorb and retain academic and Islamic information.

Graded assignments and assessments further allow students to demonstrate progress against learning objectives. Materials, including textbooks, CD s, videos, and hands-on manipulatives complement interactive on-line elements to address different learning styles and maximize the learning experience for all students.

Each day that a math concept is taught, a new historical fact is revealed. Every Science project the students experiment with and each sentence their tiny hands etch out, we strive that Allah approves of it. Additionally, the students are thrilled to know that numbers were first aligned by Muslim Mathematicians and to learn of the many great discoveries that were made by Muslim scientists.

At lunch time on our way to the cafeteria our kids recite meaningful duas to earn Allah's willingness. While we eat, we remember the Sunnah of the Prophet (Peace and Blessing be upon him) in eating and our kids remember the Ihsaan of Allah as he provides us each morsel of food. We also remember the children of less fortunate countries and we pause to think about them and pray for them in silence in the middle of a hustling bustling lunch room.

We strive to make sure we greet each other with salaams, duas or warm embraces in accordance with Islamic brotherhood. We sometimes share our meals and every one reaches out. We remember even at playtime that we are being watched over by angels and we are answerable to Allah for our actions. We know that we will be rewarded by Him for showing the spirits of a true Muslim by displaying and following high morals.
During dhuhr salah each day, a child is given an opportunity to lead the Jama'ah, inculcating leadership qualities and honing public speaking skills.

At ILM, we reach out to parents continuously. They are an integral part of our school. We work together as a unified team, so we are aware of the direction, capability and scope of each child as Allah created each one of us special. We also develop closer ties each day and come together as a community.

At ILM academy we strive, for unity amongst Muslims, for sharing of Islamic knowledge and for the Ridaa of Allah -Subhaana Hu-wa Ta'aala.

Yes at ILM Academy -we strive!
We strive because our aim is Jannah!

Wa Aakhiri da'waana an ilhamdulillahi rabbil Aalameen.
