Home >> After School Program
The past few years have seen a shift in the collective thinking regarding Islamic Weekend Schools as these programs produce graduates who for the most part fall short of their parents’ and teachers’ expectations. The setup of these programs makes achieving success very challenging. Sunday morning programs cut into on children’s days off, instruction is only once a week, quality, consistency and accountability are difficult to achieve through volunteers, among other things. As a parent, you probably can relate to this… At ILM Academy, we believe a more effective paradigm is needed if we are to succeed in inculcating the values, principles and concepts we hold dear into our young ones. Enrolling your child in an effective full-time Islamic School program is ideal, in our opinion. However, we realize that this may not be possible for all parents due a variety of reasons. Therefore, we feel it is our duty to provide alternate, creative learning experiences for the children in our community. Since we firmly believe it is every Muslim child’s right to learn about Islam, ILM Academy is striving to fulfill that right by offering such innovative and effective educational programs. Starting November 19th, 2008, ILM Academy opened its doors to Muslim students enrolled at public elementary schools through the launch of our After School Program.

Future Plans
Preparation is currently underway to expand the After School course offering in scope to cover co-curricular and extra-curricular classes and activities, in addition to the current Islamic and academic enrichment. Furthermore, we would also like to offer courses of interest for parents, especially mothers, at the same time as their children’s classes.
